KATHY THORNBURG, Winterset

Kathy Thornburg, 46, of Winterset died Sept. 28, 2003, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the First Christian Church in Winterset with Pastor John Shaull officiating. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Kathy Thornburg was born May 13, 1957, in Winterset to Jesse and Esther Jane (Fleener) Rynearson. On June 25, 1977, she married Rick Thornburg in Winterset. A resident of Winterset for most of her life, she had also resided in Minnesota for a short time. Kathy was a secretary for the Briggs Corporation in Des Moines where she had been employed for the past 10 years. She previously had been a secretary at Winterset Elementary School.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Thornburg of Winterset; her parents, Jesse and Esther Rynearson of Lorimor; and a brother, Jim Rynearson of Winterset.
