June Phyllis Thorn, 68, of Des Moines, died of cancer Nov. 12, 1995, at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services are 11 a.m. today, Nov. 15, at the Cornerstone Family Church. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola. Peterson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
She was born in Harvard, Nebr., and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cornerstone Family Church.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Gordon C. Thorn of Des Moines; one son, Thomas A. Thorn of West Bend; one daughter, Julie Lynn Condit of Westminster, Colo.; three sisters, Fyrne Davis of rural Lorimor, Gloria Weeks of Beaumont, Texas, and Jackie Anderson of Bismark, N.D.; two brothers, Duane Honnold of rural Lorimor and Bill Honnold of Winterset; and one granddaughter.
