MRS. ALTA M. BAKER Died Here Saturday

Mrs. Alta M. Baker, a resident of Madison county for half a century, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1960, at a Winterset nursing home where she had been a patient the last five years. She was 80 years of age.

Mrs. Baker was a native of Warren county, where she was born Nov. 11, 1879. She was the former Alta May Mason, daughter of Jacob and Mary White Mason.

She was married in 1910 to Rufus E. Baker. He preceded her in death in 1945.

She is survived by a son, Marvin Baker of Winterset; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Roy Cleveland, also of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the North McDonald cemetery.
