Services for Clifford D. (Tommy) Thomsen, 84, will be held Sat. Nov. 24 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Shaull officiating. He died November 17, 1990, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Thomsen was born May 20, 1906 to Nels Peter and Emma K. (Vinding) Thomsen in Harlan. He married Violet Frieda Rold on May 27, 1933 in Webster City. A Madison County resident since 1950, he was a retired Skelgas and appliance dealer and a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Surviving relatives include his wife; a son, Lauritz Kristofer of Chicago; two daughters, Barabara G. Thomsen of Des Moines and Deanne F. Finneran of Chicago; three brothers, Edward J. and Donald B., both of Des Moines and Herbert of Riverside, Calif.; three sisters, Sylvia Knudson and Edythe Head, both of Harlan and Ramona Craney of Walnut; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Ahses will be interred in Cuppy's Grove Cemetery near Elk Horn.
