OBITUARY
VERA GRACE JOHNSON

Vera Grace, the daughter of John H. and Phoebe E. Williams Curtis was born near Liberty Center, Iowa on February 5, 1907 and passed away February 12, 1982 at the Northwest Hospital in Des Moines.

Vera has made her home in Des Moines since 1941 and left her home in West Des Moines last November to enter the Fountain West Health Center. Before her retirement she worked the housekeeping department at the Bishop Drumm Home in Des Moines.

In 1952 Vera married Oscar Johnson in Des Moines. Mr. Johnson passed away six years ago.

She is survived by her two children; Jerry Kissinger and Mrs. Glendora Woods, both of Des Moines, also her eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Everett Curtis of Des Moines.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.

Services were at the McKee Funeral Home in Earlham, Iowa on February 15, 1982 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Eldon Cole officiating. Music was selected organ hymns. Casket bearers were Jim Woods, Tom Woods, Denny Chase, Steve Squire. Internment was at Earlham Cemetery, Earlham.
