Janice E. Johnson, 63, formerly of Van Meter, died June 23, 2004, at Union Park Health Services in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 25, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset with Pastor Lane Riggle officiating. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery, Madison Township, Madison County.
Janice Johnson was born Oct. 3, 1940, to Roy and Emogene (Cutshall) Johnson of De Soto. A lifelong area resident, Janice was the secretary for the Van Meter Methodist Church of which she was a member, for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother, Emogene of Van Meter; a sister, Beverly Algoe of Peru; and a brother, William Johnson of Van Meter.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Van Meter Methodist Church.
