Mary Johnson, 78, of Redding, Calfi., died of pneumonia, Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Shasta Convalescent Hospital in Redding.
Mary Johnson was born Jan. 8, 1920 in Madison County to Arthur and Nellie Jeffryes. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1938. She married Eugene Johnson of Winterset and later moved to California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband; son, Gary of Redding; one brother, Lloyd Jeffryes of Omaha, Neb.; four sisters, Lenita Goodman of Lorimor, Betty Classen and Rose Fleming, both of Des Moines, and Dorothy Roberts of Longmont, Colo.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial was at Redding Cemetery.
