Irma Irene Johnson, Indianola

Irma Irene Wilcox Johnson, was born July 12, 1906 in Milo, and died August 29, 1990, at the age of 84, in the Westview Care Center in Indianola.

Irma was the daughter of May Irwin and Frank Willcox. She graduated from Winterset High School and married Harold Johnson on August 25, 1928 in Grinnell. They were the parents of two girls, Ida Mae and Patricia Ann.

Harold and Irma farmed for over 45 years on a farm located north of New Virginia until they retired and moved to New Virginia in 1973.

When Irma's health began to fail, they moved to Indianola in 1985. Irma was a resident of the care center since 1987.

Irma was a faithful member of the Broadhorn Church and served as a pianist there for years.

Irma was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Earl Willcox and Loren Goode.
