Robert T. Horton, Manager of the Horton Nursing home near Winterset since last September, was killed Monday, Jan. 24, at Twin Falls, Idaho, in the crash of a small airplane.

Horton was riding with a friend, William A. Beebe, of Kimberly, Idaho. The plane nosed over and crashed in a field shortly after leaving the Twin Falls airport.

Horton and his wife had been visiting at Twin Falls with his brother, William, who formerly operated the nursing home at Winterset, and is now engaged in a similar operation at Twin Falls.

Near surviving relatives include his wife, three children, Ronnie, Roger and Ricky; his father, F. T. Horton of Winterset, and his brother William Horton of Twin Falls. His mother died about a year ago.

Tentative funeral arrangements were made here Tuesday to hold the services from the Richards funeral home this Friday at 2 p.m., with burial to be made in the Winterset Cemetery.
