Services for Hazel Johnson, 84, Norwalk, who died Oct. 8 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Saturday, Oct. 10, at McLaren's Funeral Home in West Des Moines. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson lived in the St. Charles and Truro area of Madison County nearly all her life before moving to Norwalk. She was the former Hazel Carver and married Orval Johnson on Feb. 24, 1924. He was a stock and grain dealer in the St. Charles and Truro area.
Survivors include a son, Gene Johnson of Des Moines; a daughter, Marilyn Noel of Norwalk; a brother, Paul Carver of Santa Monica, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Blanche Purvis Carver and her husband.
