Funeral Held At St. Charles

Funeral services for Mrs. Rex V. Johnson were held Saturday morning, July 23rd, from the St. Charles United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Johnson died July 20th at Des Moines General Hospital. She was 76 years of age.

Coral Anna Johnson was born Jan. 14, 1901 at Dallas Center, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Amelia Belle Ozbun Barton. She was educated in the schools of Salem, Iowa, Farmington, Iowa, Kimball, Nebr., and St. Charles.

On June 1, 1923, she was married to Rex V. Johnson at St. Charles. They lived in Winterset for a number of years, where Mr. Johnson was a county official in the Clerk of Court's office.

They moved to St. Charles when Mr. Johnson was named manager of the Farmers and Merchants State Bank office there.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Dixie Snyder; one brother and one sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Patricia) Hiserodt of Edina, Minn.; and 13 grandchildren.

Officiating at the service last Saturday was Rev. Paul Hann. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
