Clem Thompson, a former resident of Madison county, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 1962, at a Des Moines hospital, after an illness of four months. He was 62 years of age.
Mr. Thompson was born at Scranton, and graduated from the Iowa school for the deaf at Council Bluffs, in 1919, with honors. For the last 27 years he had lived in Des Moines, during which time he was employed by the firm of C. E. Erickson, Inc.
He was a member of the National society for the Deaf, and Calvary Lutheran church for the deaf.
Surviving are his wife, Ida; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Smith of Jefferson and Mrs. Otis Bruett of Winterset; and a brother, Harley Thompson of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday from Hamilton's Funeral home in Des Moines, with burial in Glendale cemetery.
