Mrs. Ben Morris, former Madison county resident, died Thursday, Jan. 31st at a hospital in Little Falls, Minn., after a prolonged illness. She was 62 years of age.

Mrs. Morris, the former Margaret Simmerman, was born Nov. 30, 1883, on a farm in Stark county, Ill. She came to this county with her parents, George and Clarissia Simmerman, when she was a child and they lived near Barney. In April 1906, she was married to Ben Morris, and they were the parents of one daughter, Ruth, Mrs. Walter Keehr, who now resides in Pierz, Minn. The family moved to Minnesota about twenty-one years ago. Mr. Morris preceded her in death dying Feb. 11, 1936.

She leaves her daughter, Mrs. Keehr, three grandsons and three brothers: Walter Simmerman of Kooskia, Ida., and Alf and Clinton Simmerman of Lorimor.

Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church in Freedham, Minn., and she was buried there. Her brother, Alfred Simmerman returned last Friday from Minnesota where he had been to attend her funeral services.
