Mrs. Luisa Acheson, a former resident of this community, died May 29 at Cheyenne, Wyo.

The body was brought to Winterset for burial. Funeral services were held here this Thursday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. W. P. Gordon.

Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Louisa Childress Acheson was born in Dallas county on Jan. 28, 1857, and died at Cheyenne, Wyo., on May 29, 1945. She was 88 years of age.

Mrs. Acheson was the daughter of Burgess and Elizabeth Childress. She was married to Joseph Acheson in February, 1874, and to this union six children were born: Pearlie, who died in infancy; Mrs. Rosa Smith and Mrs. Lizzie Clopton of Winterset; Mrs. Rudolph Simon and Eddie, and Alvin Acheson of Cheyenne, Wyo. In addition to the children she also leaves a sister, Mrs. Nettie Burkhead of Des Moines; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 31 from Ramsey-Richards Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. W. P. Gordon, pastor of the United Presbyterian church.

Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
