Wednesday, June 13, 1973A. L. Johnson Died Thursday
Alfred L. Johnson, a resident of Madison county most of his life, died Thursday, June 7, at Memorial Hospital here. He was 86 years of age.
Mr. Johnson was a son of William and Irene Johnson, and was born March 17, 1887, in North Platte, Nebr. During his life time he also lived in New Mexico and Tennessee.
During World War I he served in the U. S. army.
Surviving are a sister; Mrs. Herbert Flint of Winterset; a niece, Mrs. Joseph Galleguillos of Patterson; and a nephew, Leonard W. Lull of Carlisle.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Evans Funeral home in Earlham, conducted by the Rev. John Baxter, pastor of the Earlham Friends Church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery, with military honors by Green-Rogers post of the American Legion at Winterset.
