RUTH KINGERY THOMAS, Winterset

Services for Ruth Kingery Thomas, 86, Winterset, who died Nov. 6, 1989, at Des Moines General Hospital, were held Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. The body was to be cremated after the service and ashed buried in the Lorimor cemetery.

Born in Madison County on April 4, 1903, she was the daughter of Ira and Anna Davis Kingery. She was married to Irving Nielsen on Sept. 12, 1930. He died March 31, 1932. She married Leonard Thomas on July 11, 1934. He died Nov. 28, 1966.

She lived here since 1986 but lived 50 years in Phoenix, Ariz.

Survivors include a brother, Richard and wife Merle of Winterset; a sister, Catherine Croft and husband Stanley, and Maxine Kingery, a sister-in-law, all of Winterset.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
