RAYMOND THOMAS, Van Meter

Services for Raymond Thomas, 72, Van Meter, who died Jan. 21, 1985, at the Madison County Hospital, were held Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter. Burial was at the Booneville Cemetery.

Born in Madison Cunty, he was a resident of the Van Meter and Booneville area for the past 45 years. He retired in 1977 and had been petroleum manager for the Booneville Co-op

Mr. Thomas was a member of the Booneville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma; a daughter, Raeann Thomas of Hubbard; sons, George of Kendallville, Ind., Ron of Leon, Jim and Joe, both of Grinnell, and Curt of Dunkerton; brothers, Claire of Des Moines and Donald of Winterset; sisters, Lois Foster of Mt. View, Calif., Doris Blank of Anaheim, Calif., Arlene Nixon of Butte, Mont., and Shirlee Harris of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 13 grandchildren.
