Graveside services for Tom Janes, 64, Winterset, who died Aug. 15 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Monday, Aug. 18, at the Union Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating.

Born in Norwalk Sept. 7, 1921, he was the son of Lester T. and Clarissa May Matthews Janes. He was a construction worker and spent most of his life in Madison County.

Survivors include sisters, Velma Hall of Des Moines and Joan Cox of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
