BARBARA THOMAS, Winterset

Barbara M. Thomas, 78, died April 8, 1996, at Des Moines General Hospital of heart failure. Services were held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Des Moines with internment at the Laurel Hills Cemetery in Des Moines.

She was a lifetime resident of Des Moines before moving to Community Care of America in Winterset two years ago. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Des Moines and a Den Mother Superior for 15 years for the Boy Scouts of America.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill.

Surviving relatives are a daughter, Louetta Ewoldsen of Winterset; a son John Thomas of Norwalk; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
