Wednesday, February 28, 1945Mrs. F. M. Miller, a well-known resident of the Patterson neighborhood, died there Sunday at the age of 77 years.
Mrs. Miller was the former Elizabeth Bell, daughter of Abner and Jane Crossley Bell, and was born near Patterson on March 10, 1867. Her early life was spent in that community. She later lived for about 12 years in Nebraska and three years in California.
She was married to Francis Miller on Dec. 30, 1897. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Earl Bell of Excelsior Springs, Mo. (by a former marriage) and Harold Miller of Ellsworth; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Roy of Des Moines; and fifve grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Houston of Ravelli, Mont.; and a brother, Ralph Bell of Earlham.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Patterson Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. J. A. Kettle. Burial was made in the Mt. Pelier cemetery.
