Frank Jacobe, Winterset

Services for Frank Jacobe, 88, Winterset, who died Tuesday Dec. 4 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, at 1 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Helmers officiating. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery at Murray.

He was born Apr. 17, 1894, in Madison County, the son of Casper Edward and Alice Catherine Iiams Jacobe.

He married Delpha Myers Dec. 8, 1957 in Winterset. He retired in 1973 and had owned and operated a sawmill and threshing machine. He also worked as a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Lewis Edward Jacobe of Des Moines, Delbert Lee Jacobe of Winterset and Delmar Faye Jacobe of Milton, Ohio; a daughter, Elosia Mae Libby of St. Charles; a sister, Ruby Lois Thompson of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Services for Frank Jacobe, 99, of Winterset, who died Tuesday at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset of a heart ailment, will be at 1 pm Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery in Murray.

Mr. Jacobe was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Delpha; three sons, Lewis Edward of Des Moines, Delbert Lee of Winterset and Delmar Faye of Milton, Ohio, a daughter, Elosia Mae Libby of St. Charles; a sister, Ruby Lois Thompson of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
