Delbert Jacobe, Winterset

Services for Delbert Jacobe, 58, Winterset, who died Jan. 22 at his home, were held on Monday, Jan. 25, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Shaull officiating. Burial was at the Union Cemetery in Clarke County.

Born in Winterset on Jan. 8, 1930, he was the son of Lewis F. and Mamie Low Jacobe. He was a handyman and worked for Reed Brothers, Inc. On March 4, 1951 he was married to Roberta Jean Penn at St. Charles.

Mr. Jacobe spent his lifetime in Madison County and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Earle of Lorimor and William of Truro; a daughter, Cecelia Shutt of Winterset; brothers, Lewis of Des Moines and Delmer of West Milton, Ohio; a sister, Elosia Libby of Winterset; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, and a grandson.
