Wednesday, November 1, 1944Mrs. Frank Nair, well known resident of Madison county died at 8:30 p.m. Monday evening, Oct 30th at the Winterset hospital after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Nair, who was 74 years of age, had been a patient at the local hospital since Oct. 6th, when she suffered a heart attack. Her condition showed improvement for several weeks, but became critical last week.
Mrs. Nair was the former Anna May Bingle, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Bingle. She was born in Ferris, Ill., Feb. 16, 1870, and lived in that community until her marriage to Mr. Nair. They were married at Oskaloosa March 4, 1896. They located on a farm near Carthage, and lived there until in 1906, when they came to Madison county, and purchased the farm in Lincoln township, which had since been their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Nair were the parents of two children, Aziel G. Rhodes of South Gate, Calif., and a son, Warren F. Nair of Lincoln township. She is survived by her husband, and their two children. She also leaves three grandchildren: Corp. Robert Hammer, who is with the U.S. army air force in New Guinea, and Nancy Lee and John Warren Nair of Lincoln township. She also leaves a sister and a brother, Mrs. Olive Printy of Davenport and Arthur Bingle of Burlington. Three sisters and a brother have preceded her in death.
Mrs. Nair joined the Christian church in Carthage, Ill., a number of years ago.
The Rev. L. F. Davis conducted her funeral services in the Anderson Home for Funerals, at 2 p.m. this afternoon, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mrs. Frank Nair, 74 years old and resident of this county since 1906, died at the Winterset hospital Monday following a month’s illness. Funeral services were held at the Anderson funeral home Wednesday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mrs. Nair was born at Ferris, Illinois, February 16, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Bingle. She was married to Frank Nair at Oskaloosa, Iowa, on March 4, 1896.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Nair is survived by two children, Aziel G. Rhodes of South Gate, Calif., and Warren of near Winterset. Three sisters, Mrs. Fanny Howell, Mrs. Emma Glives and Mrs. Catherine Arnold. One brother, John Bingle also survives.
