Wednesday, October 18, 1944Mrs. Thomas Little, a life-long resident of Madison county, died last Thursday at her home in Winterset. She was 70 years of age.
Mrs. Little was the former Sarah Francis Allen, daughter of James and Leava Allen, and was born at St. Charles Dec. 1, 1874. She was married to Thomas Little on Dec. 12, 1895. They were the parents of seven children. One child died in infancy, and their oldest child, Clarence Little died in 1930.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Russell, Laurel and Virgil Little; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Darnall and Mrs. Opal Cramlet, both of Winterset; 12 grandchildren; and two brothers, Minus Allen of St. Charles, and Claude Allen of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held from the Anderson Funeral home Saturday in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Sayre cemetery.
