Helen Maxine Jackson, 79, died of multiple organ system failure March 30, 2002, at Winterset Care Center South.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 2, at the Lorimor Baptist Church with the Rev. George Henrikson officiating. Burial was at Barney Cemetery, Monroe Township, Madison County.

Helen Jackson was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Union County to Byron Jefferson and Gertie Lenore (Hiskey) Jackson. A homemaker, she had resided for most of her life around the Lorimor area until moving to Winterset Care Center South. Helen was a member of the Lorimor Baptist Church and Ladies' Baptist Circle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

She is survived by a brother, Ralph Jackson (wife Illa) of Winterset and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Winterset Care Center South Activity Fund.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
