AGNES IRWIN OF NEW VIRGINIA DIES

Mrs. Agnes L. Irwin of New Virginia died Wednesday, Feb. 26, at her home in that community. She was 69 years of age.

Mrs. Irwin was born at Peru July 9, 1899 and spent her early life there. She was the former Agnes L. Spurgin, daughter of Joseph and Mary Cox Spurgin. She was married Dec. 29, 1927, to Philip Irwin. Since their marriage, they had lived at New Virginia.

She was a member of the New Virginia Methodist church and the Woman's Society for Christian Service there. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star at New Virginia.

She was a member of the Methodist church, and the Woman's Society for Christian Service at New Virginia. She was also in the Order of Eastern Star at New Virginia.

She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. Frank Neidt of Truro; and a foster brother, Curtis Dowler of Des Moines.
