Mrs. Everet Clark, a life-long resident of Winterset, died at her home on West Summit street early last Friday morning. She had been ill for several weeks and had been home from the local hospital but a few days.

Mrs. Clark was 62 years of age at the time of her death. She was the former Bessie Casteel, born in Winterset, Jan. 17, 1882, the daughter of Martin and Alice Casteel.

She was married to Everet Clark on June 4, 1902. They were the parents of a daughter and a son, both of whom survive their mother.

She had united with the Methodist church here as a girl, and remained an active member until her death. She had been a member of the Pythian Sisters for 40 years.

She is survived by her husband; the daughter, Mrs. William Flindt of Spencer; the son, Corp. Frederick Clark who is now with the American army in Italy; a granddaughter, Gretchen Flindt of Spencer; and two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Neisner of Chicago, and Mrs. Gertrude McDonald of San Mateo, Calif.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. W. A. Samp, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

The pall bearers were Claude, Audley, Walter and Charles Clark, Warner Forbes and Fred Wilkinson.
