Mrs. F. F. Jones, a long-time resident of St. Charles, died last Friday at the state hospital in Iowa City. She was 74 years of age.

Mrs. Jones was a native of Illinois, where she was born Jan. 15, 1870. She was the former Minnie Colton, daughter of Hiram and Minerva Colton. Most of her life was spent in St. Charles.

In 1903 she was married to F. F. Jones at Knoxville. They were the parents of three children, one of whom, Mrs. Irene Moore, died in 1929.

She had been a member of the Christian church since youth.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John Clark; a son, John Jones; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the St. Charles Church of Christ Sunday in charge of the Rev. Marguerite Shepard. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
