Services of Floyd Ralph Imes, 76, were held Tuesday at St. Charles Parish in St. Charles, with Rev. Tom Webster officiating. Mr. Imes died Fri. Sept. 2 at Veteran's Hospital in Des Moines. Burial was in St. Charles.
Mr. Imes was born April 24, 1912, the son of Floyd Ralph Imes and Nella Pearl King Imes, in Bismarck, North Dakota.
He went to St. Charles schools, was a carpenter and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Charles Parish church and is survived by a brother, Bill Imes of Ruthven, Ia. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ival Imes and a nephew.

Floyd Ralph Imes, son of Floyd Ralph and Nella Pearl King Imes was born April 24, 1912 at Bismarck, North Dakota and departed this life Friday, September 2, 1988 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 76 days, four months and eight days.
Ralph moved with his family at an early age to the St. Charles area and he attended the St. Charles Schools. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy and a member of V.F. W. Post 8412 at Winterset, Iowa. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of St. Charles Parish Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ival and one nephew.
He survived by his brother, Bill Imes and wife, Helen of Ruthven, Iowa; a niece, Maryln Reno and husband, John of Terrell, Iowa; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6 at the St. Charles Parish Church, St. Charles with Rev. Tom Webster of St. Charles officiating. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles.
