FRANK ROSS Of Macksburg Dies

Frank D. Ross, a well-known resident of Macksburg and a produce dealer there for many years, died Monday, Dec. 12, 1955, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 72 years of age, and had been ill for the last two months.

Mr. Ross was a life-long resident of Madison county. He was born July 1, 1882, in Scott township, a son of John D. and Emma Jones Ross. He was married at Macksburg on Aug. 21, 1904, to Myrtle M. Love, who survives him.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, John W. Ross of Macksburg and Russell R. Ross of Santa Maria, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Loraine Iiams of Wellman and Mrs. Fern King of Winterset; a sister, Carrie R. Black of Des Moines; and a brother, Roy R. Ross of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Macksburg Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Clement Rowe. Burial was to be made in Moon cemetery there.

Frank D. Ross, 81, Of Macksburg, Dies

MACKSBURG—Frank D. Ross, 81, a produce dealer in Macksburg for about 40 years, died at the Madison county hospital at Winterset Monday morning of a heart ailment. He had been ill with the heart ailment for some time.

Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Macksburg at 2 p. m. Wednesday. Rev. Clement R. Rowe will officiate. Burial will be in the Moon cemetery.

Mr. Ross was born in Madison county and had lived most of his life in the Macksburg vicinity.

He is survived by his widow, Myrtle; two sons, John W. Ross of Macksburg and Russell Ross of Santa Maria, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Iames of Wellman and Mrs. Fern King of Winterset; and six grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. J. R. James of Willman and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ross of Tulsa, Okla., came to attend the funeral of Frank Ross Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church.
