Sherry Hutchison, Winterset

Sherry Lynne Hutchison, 42, of Winterset died Aug. 8, 2002 of ovarian cancer.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 12 at the First Christian Church in Winterset with Dr. Bobby G. Dickerson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Sheery Hutchison was born July 8, 1960 in Winterset to Earl Junior and Joyce Marie (Walker) Allsup. She was a 1978 graduate of Winterset High School. She later attended Southwestern Community College in Creston, receiving an associate's degree. Sherry had been a senior underwriter for Med Life in St. Louis, Mo., where she had resided from 1985 to 1988. On Oct. 21, 1989, she married Jeff Hutchison at the Zion Church located on the Madison County Historical Society grounds. She was a member of the Winterset First Christian Church, Winterset Women's Club and Madison County Cancer Coalition. She also founded a cancer support group in February of 1996 in Winterset.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff of Winterset; her father and mother, Junior and Joyce of Winterset; a sister, Vickey Jo Davis (husband Ike) of Winterset; two nephews; a niece; a great-niece; and a great-nephew.

Memorial contributions may be directed to her family.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
