Services for Mary Alice Hutchison, 77, Truro, who died April 5 at the Bethesda Care Center in Winterset, were held Wednesday, April 8 at the United Methodist Church in Truro with the Rev. Ann Louise Weisenfluh of Truro officiating. Burial was at the Young Cemetery in Truro.
Born June 26, 1909 at Carbon, Texas, she was the daughter of William and Emma Baker Allison. She attended Eastland High School at Eastland, Texas and was married to Dale Swan Jan. 11, 1928 at Eastland. He died in 1946 and the couple had four children. She was married to Ralph Hutchison in Chariton on Sept. 1, 1951.
She was a housewife and bank teller at Union State Bank for 10 years. She and her first husband operated Hutchison Variety Store in Truro for many years. She was a member of the Ivy chapter of the Eastern Star, the WSCS, a member and treasurer of the United Methodist Church at Truro.
Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Louise Beeler and husband Carl of Truro, and Nelda Ruth Beeler and husband Larry of Truro; sons, William Dale Swan and wife Tula of Big Piney, Wyo., and James Edward Swan and wife Betty Jean of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ralph in 1971, a granddaughter, grandson and daughter-in-law.

Mary Alice Hutchinson, 77, of Truro, died Sunday, April 5, 1987 at Bethesda Care Center in Winterset.
Services were held Wednesday, April 8 at the United Methodist Church in Truro. The Rev. Anne Louise Weisenfluh of Truro officiated the 11 a.m. rites. Interment was at Young Cemetery in Truro.
Mary Alice Hutchinson was born June 26, 1909 in Carbon, Texas. Daughter of William Irvin Allison and Emma Baker Allison, she attended schools in Eastland, Texas. On January 11, 1928, she married Dale Swan in Eastland. Four children were born to this union before Swan died in 1946. On September 1, 1951, she married Ralph Hutchinson in Chariton.
Mary Alice Hutchinson moved to Truro in 1946, where she and her husband, Ralph operated the Hutchinson variety Store for many years. She was also a housewife and a bank teller at Union State Bank for 10 years. She was a member of the Ivy Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, W.S.C.S., and was treasurer of the Truro United Methodist Church for seven years.
Survivors include two sons, William Dale Swan and wife, Tula of Big Piney, Wyoming and James Edward Swan and wife, Betty Jean of Des Moines; two daughters, Dorothy Louise Beeler and husband, Carl of Truro and Nelda Ruth Beeler and husband, Larry of Truro; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband, Dale, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Ralph in 1971; and one granddaughter, Cynthia; one grandson, Dale Allen Beeler; and one daughter-in-law, Jean Swan.
