Doris Bell Huston, Osceola

Doris Bell Huston, 89, died May 28, 2002, of complications of Alzheimer's disease at Osceola Nursing and Rehab.

Graveside services were held Friday, May 31 at Peru Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Henrichs officiating.

Doris Huston was born Sept. 24, 1912 in Madison County to John W. and Rosalie (Slayden) Bell. She was a 1930 graduate of Peru High School. On Oct. 4, 1932, she married George Frank Huston in Bethany, Mo. A homemaker, she had resided in Lorimor and Winterset before moving to Osceola in 1994. Doris was a member of the Lorimor United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, of which she had been treasurer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, eight brothers and sisters and a stepgrandson.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Davison (husband Ed) of Osceola; a son, Ronald Huston (wife Dianne) of Tacoma, Wash.; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Lorimor.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.
