Inez L. Husted, Winterset

Inez L. Husted, 94, of Winterset died of a respiratory ailment Thursday, Feb. 5, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Memorial services were held Monday, Feb. 9, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Jon Gaul and Wayne Estell officiating. Burial took place at Blair Chapel Cemetery in Madison County.

Inez L. Husted was born Jan. 30, 1904 in Madison County to William T. and Nell Cody Lodge. She was a 1923 graduate of Winterset High School and taught school at Patterson and Truro. Additionally, she was a rural school teacher. She married Merril R. Husted on Sept. 6, 1930 in Winterset. A lifetime resident of Madison County, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Esther Circle and Iris Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister.

She is survived by one son, Bill Husted (wife Harriet) of St. Charles; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
