Lois G. Husted, Keota

Services for Lois Garnita Husted, 86, Keota, who died at the Maplewood Manor on June 3, were held Tuesday, June 6, at the Kale Funeral Home at Truro with the Rev. Tom Webster of St. Charles officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Born July 23, 1902 at St. Charles, she was the daughter of Lemon and Ann Black Collins. She was married to Eugene G. Husted on Dec. 17, 1919 in Osceola and the couple had six children. A housewife, she lived in Springfield, Mo., until 1970 when the couple moved to Truro. They moved to Knoxville in 1978 and she entered the nursing home at Keota in 1984.

She was a member of the Brentwood Christian Church in Springfield.

Survivors include daughters, Elaine Beverlin and husband Jim of Newton, Katheryn Dutcher and husband Johnny of Carlisle, Carol Van Fleet of Sigourney, Betty Gill of Mountain Home, Ark.; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Husted of Knoxville; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1981, a daughter, son, three brothers and a sister.
