Mrs. Seth Reigle, a resident of Jefferson township for more than half a century, died in her sleep at her home last Friday morning. She had suffered a heart atack, followed by a sroke.
Mrs. Reigle was 79 years of age. She was a native of Gratiot county, Michigan, where she was born, Feb. 3, 1876. She was the former Julia Josephine Tuttle, daughter of Samuel and Martha Tuttle. Her mother died when she was a small child, and she was reared in the home of an aunt, in the state of New York.
She was married to Seth Reigle on Jan. 8, 1896, in Osage county, Kansas. They lived there until 1899. From there they went to Garber, Okla. In 1904, they came to Jefferson township, and had made their home there since that time.
Surviving are two sons, Floyd Reigle of Winterset and Leonard Reigle of Brighton, Colo.; a brother, Lee Tuttle of Ogden, Utah; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Jefferson Evangelical United Brethren church, conducted by the Rev. Aldreth V. Weigel of Van Meter. Burial was made in the Jefferson cemetery.
