Mary I. Huss, 84, of Des Moines, died of a stroke March 11, 1994. Services were March 14, at Hamiltons Funeral Home with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
She was born Aug. 25, 1909 near Peru, to Edmund Lisle and Cora (Benson) Travis. She married Glen E. Huss on Dec. 11, 1929 in Winterset.
She attended school in Peru and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Central Bible Church in Des Moines.
She is preceded in death by her husband; two sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Lila Flesher and husband Virgil of Bentonville, Ark., and Shirley Fellman and husband Carl of Des Moines; two sisters, Maxine Johnson of Cromwell, and Doris Davis and husband Frank of Winterset; one brother, Clark Travis and wife Marilyn of Davenport; seven grandchiildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
