Wednesday, July 5, 1944Brief funeral services were held last Friday morning from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset for Mary Jane Eppard, Winterset's 90-year-old resident, who died on Monday of last week at her home here. That afternoon, full funeral rites were held from the Church of Christ at St. Charles in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Marguerite Shepard, and burial was made in the cemetery there.
Mrs. Eppard lived 72 of her 90 years in Madison county, coming here as a young woman with her husband, from old Virginia. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom survive her. She also leaves 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.
Her husband died 12 years ago.

Mrs. Mary J. Eppard, 90, died here Monday, June 26, at her home. Brief funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m., Friday at the Ramsey–Richards Funeral Home. At 10:30 a.m. Friday morning a funeral service was held at St. Charles in charge of Rev. Marguerite E. Shepherd.
Mrs. Mary Jane Weaver Eppard lived 72 of her 90 years in Madison county, coming here as a bride from Old Virginia. She and her husband helped to organize the Early Chapel church in Jackson Township and always were members. To them were born nine children. Her husband preceded her in death twelve years ago.
She is survived by seven of her children, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren, and one sister of Adel, Iowa.
