FORMER RESIDENT OF MACKSBURG DIES

Mrs. Inez Bell Hudson, a former resident of the Macksburg community, died Saturday, July 18, at the Greater Community hospital in Creston. She was 77 years of age, and had been ill for one year.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hudson were held Tuesday afternoon from Coen's Home for Funerals at Creston.

A daughter of Hiram and Clarissa Milledge Cline, she was born in Madison county on Dec. 6, 1886. She was married to Andrew Jackson Hudson at Creston July 22, 1909. Mr. Hudson died in 1961.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Opal Noble of Creston and Mrs. Evalyn Dunahoo of Des Moines; three step-children, Mrs. Marie Moffitt of Lorimor, Mrs. Pearl Ehle of California, and Vernon Hudson of Leland; two sisters, Mrs. Frona Stern and Laura Marley both of Portland, Ore.; nine grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hudson moved to Creston from a farm south of Macksburg two years ago.

Officiating at the funeral was the Rev. Azel Smith, Methodist pastor at Creston. Burial was in the Moon cemetery near Macksburg.
