MRS. CLYDONA YOUNG Died Here Saturday

Member of Prominent Local Family was 79 Years Of Age.

Mrs. Clydona Young, member of a promient Winterset family, died here last Saturday at the age of 79 years.

Mrs. Young was born in this county on Nov. 15, 1865, the daughter of George and Mary Wight. All of her life was spent in Adair and Madison counties, with the exception of five years in South Dakota. For the past 46 years her home had been in Winterset.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church here, and the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her four daughters, Mrs. Charles E. Spurgin of Cherokee, Mrs. C H. Severe of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. W. Russell Wicks of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Worth Deets of Earlham; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Elliott and Dicy Drake; and a brother, R. L. Wight of Greenfield. She also leaves nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Winterset Presbyterian church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Arthur Mortenson, assisted by the Rev. Tom Foglesong of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
