Wilbur Nelson Howell was born Oct. 1, 1903 at Patterson, Iowa, and died at Winterset, March 19, 1921, aged 17 years, 5 months and 18 days.
He leaves to mourn his loss his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Howell; two brothers, Carroll and Morris; three sisters; Mrs. Ethel Seams of Earlham, Miriam and Doris Howell of Patterson.
Wilbur was a good boy, industrious and always considerate of others. Being somewhat quiet by nature, he did not make friends quickly, but he was loyal to those who really were his friends. On Friday, March 11, he was taken to Winterset for medical treatment, but was never able to return home. He grew gradually worse and passed away the afternoon of the 19th.
Funeral services were held at the home, March 21 at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Goddard.
