MRS. BERTHA HOYT DIES AT 68 YEARS

Mrs. Bertha Hoyt, a resident of Winterset for many years died Saturday, Feb. 11 at Clarinda. She was 68 years of age.

Mrs. Hoyt was a native of Buena Vista county, where she was born Dec. 4, 1892. She was the former Bertha Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. David. She was married to Asa Hoyt in 1911 and they moved to Winterset 29 years ago.

She leaves her husband who is now living in Nevada; four sons, Dale Hoyt of Nevada, Emery Hoyt of Grand Junction. and Joe and Kermit Hoyt of Ray, Ariz.; five daughters, Mrs. Fern Conrad of Des Moines, Mrs. Gladys Collins of St. Joseph, Mich., Mrs. Helen Boatwright of Aleknagick, Alaska, Mrs. Erma Ross of St. Charles and Mrs. Lois Peterson of Ft. Collins, Colo.; 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She also leaves four brothers, Harry Davis of Rapid City, South Dakota, Verner Davis of Clark, S. Dak., Floyd Davis of Marathon and Fred Davis of Vallejo, Calif.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday from the Watts Funeral home in Lorimor, in charge of Elder Halstead of Nevada. Burial will be made at Macksburg Cemetery.
