Mrs. Dale Hylton received a wire Monday night telling of the death of her brother, Verlin Hiatt of Selah, Washington. Mr. Hiatt was born and raised in Peru but had lived in Washington for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife who was the former Bertha Decker of Peru, and their two children Mary and Wilmer of Selah. He also leaves two sister, Mrs. Hylton of Winterset, Mrs. Paul Hobart of Martensdale, and two brothers, Melvin Hiatt of Afton and J. L. Hiatt of Missouri.

No particulars as to his death, nor the funeral arrangements had been received here Wednesday afternoon.
