Buried Monday on Fortieth Anniversary of Her Wedding

Mrs. William McCleary, a well-known Madison county woman, died last Saturday after a long period of failing health. She was 69 years of age, and had been in poor health for a number of years.

Mrs. McCleary was born near Van Meter on Feb. 4, 1873. She was the former Ida Irene Golden. She was married to William McCleary on June 8, 1902. They were the parents of a son, William Golden McCleary, who died in infancy.

She was a long-time member of the Van Meter United Brethren church, later transferring her membership to the Winterset Methodist church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three brothers, Albert Golden of Denver, Colo., and Eldon and Arthur Golden of Van Meter.

Funeral services were held Monday, on the fortieth anniversary of her wedding, from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. E. A. Elliott, pastor of the North River U. B. church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
