Funeral services were held here Tuesday for Mrs. Aileen Jan, whose death occurred in San Francisco on April 29.

Mrs. Jan was the former Aileen Bertholf of near Winterset. She was born here Feb. 12, 1910, the daughter of Davidson and Stella Bertholf. She attended the rural schools of Lincoln township, and the Winterset schools.

When a child, she became a member of the Methodist church at Muncie, Ind.

She was united in marriage to Ralph Jan in 1930, and resided in San Francisco until the time of her death, at the age of 32 years.

She is survived by her father and step-mother; a brother, Walker Bertholf; and a sister, Mrs. H. W. Nelstrom of Grand Island, Neb., and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Cora Cornman of Winterset.

The funeral services were held from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. W. A. Samp. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
