Graveside services for Evelyn Louise Howard, 78, rural Winterset, who died Jan. 14 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Friday Jan. 16 at the primitive Baptist Cemetery at Winterset with the Rev. John Shaull officiating.

Born Feb. 29, 1908 at Taylorville, Ill., she was the daughter of James and Nellie Brown Ishmael. On Nov. 11, 1946, she was married to George Alfred Howard in Winterset.

A homemaker, Mrs. Howard had lived here since 1938.

Survivors include a son, Lloyd "Tex" Wagley of Winterset; a daughter, Wanda L. Bryan of Winterset; a brother, Lloyd Bailey of New Orleans, La.; sisters, Arlene Morgan of Fallon, Nev., and Wilma Olson of Sacramento, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
