ANNA JURGENSEN

Mrs. Anna Jurgensen, the daughter of August and Marie Bundtzen, was born on June 29, 1895, in Hosterupholz, Germany. She came to this country in March 1923 and lived near DeSoto, Iowa, for nearly all of her remaining life except for a short time when she resided in Brook Park, Minnesota.

On May 31, 1924, she was united in marriage with Gerhart H. Jurgensen in Des Moines. This marriage was blessed with four sons and six daughters, all of whom are still living. She is survived by her husband, Gerhart Jurgensen; her children, Mrs. Ida Mapes of Earlham, Dan of McCook, Nebraska, Chuck of Dexter, Mrs. Irene Houghteling of Des Moines, Mrs. Louise Wells of Island City, Oregon, Mrs. Joan Broker of Des Moines, Bill of Winterset, Mrs. Lucy Clark of Norwalk, Robert of Adel and Mrs. Patsy Radtke of Portage, Wisconsin; two brothers, Heinrich Bundtzen of Boeklind, Germany and John Bundtzen of Highland Park, Michigan; 27 grandchildren; and many other relatives and hosts of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, August, Carsten and Frederick Bundtzen.
