88-year-old Resident Had Lived in Madison County Since 1906Joshua B. McKeever a resident of Madison county since 1906, died Dec. 23 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Thomas of Macksburg. He was 88 years of age.
Mr. McKeever came to Madison county in 1906 from Mahaska county, living first near Barney and later near Macksburg. Since 1930 he had made his home with his daughter. His wife died in 1924, and his sons, Oliver and William, preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Merle Darland of Winterset, and Mrs. Harry Thomas of Macksburg; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 26 from the Macksburg Methodist church, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Joshua B. McKeever died Saturday, December 23, at his home in Macksburg at the age of 88, after an illness of several weeks. He was born at Peoria, Iowa, December 18, 1856, the son of Isaac and Martha McKeever, and came to Madison county in 1906. His occupations were farming and operating tileing machines. On July 3, 1883, he was united in marriage to Frances Ann Farmer of New Sharon, Iowa, and to this union were born two sons and two daughters. Both sons, Oliver and William, preceded their father in death.
Survivors include hi two daughters, Mrs. Merle Garland of Winterset and Mrs. Alice Thomas of Macksburg and one nephew of Walker, Iowa.
Funeral services were held at the Macksburg Methodist church December 26, conducted by Rev. J. E. England. Interment was made in the Winterset cemetery.
