I. W. Hardy, a life-long resident of Crawford township, died in a hospital at Des Moines last Friday after a long illness. He was 71 years of age.

Mr. Hardy is survived by his wife; three sons, Earl Hardy at home, Verlin Hardy of Chicago, and Jack Hardy of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce Fryer of Des Moines and Mrs. Jesse Schoen of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. James Riley of Colorado.

Funeral services were held from the Patterson Methodist church Sunday, and burial was made in the Mt. Pelier cemetery.
