Chauncey Krell Died at Ackley
Retired Railroad Man was Former Resident of Winterset
Chauncey W. Krell, a native of Winterset, died at his home in Ackley, Minn., Aug. 26, it was reported here last week. He was 65 years of age.
Mr. Krell was the son of Henry and Mary Krell, and was born in Winterset Feb. 7, 1877. His early life was spent on a farm near Winterset. After graduating from business college in Des Moines, he went to work for the Illinois Central Railway as an operator and agent. He completed 40 years of service with that company and retired in 1940.
On Oct. 10, 1906, he was married to Miss Rose Blondin of Ackley. All their married life was spent in Ackley, with the exception of two years at Applington.
He is survived by his wife; two brothers, Dayton and Samuel Krell of Winterset; and a sister, Mrs. Tena Wight of Pasadena, Calif.
Funeral services were held and burial made at Ackley.
